Testimonial of the Week ?
This week’s chosen testimonial is from Michael Atkinson, who uses the Get My Grades platform to help him to homeschool his daughter.
We have loved hearing such positive feedback from our users, especially during such difficult and trying times whilst we try and work and homeschool through a pandemic ?. It’s important, as parents, to make sure we look after ourselves too. As the saying goes, “you can’t pour from an empty cup”. Read our blog series on How to Look After Your Mental Health if you’re feeling overwhelmed or need some ideas and don’t forget, we’re all in the same boat, so reach out to friends and family if you need to.
State of UK Exams: 2021 ?
Written by John Nichols, our Co-Founder and the President of The Tutors’ Association.
All parents are naturally concerned about their children’s education and there are few periods that are more significant than final GCSE and A Level exams. GCSE and A Level examinations lead to qualifications that go a long way towards deciding future progression and employment prospects that are available to a young person.
In 2021, examinations have been cancelled – for the second year in a row – due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. What would normally be a stressful but predictable process is now completely up in the air, with no firm plan ?. Given that 2020 ended up being a bit of a last-minute fiasco when it came to awarding qualifications it certainly isn’t a model to follow. So what do we know? Read the rest of our blog detailing the most recent update and guidance now.
