After months of work behind the scenes, Get My Grades is pleased to announce it’s collaboration with The Tutors’ Association (TTA) on their all-new CPD Platform, launching at their Annual Conference on October 29th. The online platform, powered by our proven e-learning technology, will be FREE to use for all TTA members.
The TTA CPD Platform, provided by Get My Grades, will enable TTA members to become better tutors, empowering them to help their students make more progress and increasing the value they can offer to their clients. Corporate members of The Tutors’ Association will also be able to use the platform to train their own tutors.
The platform’s comprehensive content will provide practical tools, advice and guidance for TTA members across a wide variety of areas including:
o Running a successful tutoring business
o Safeguarding
o SEND techniques and strategies
o Helping students learn faster and more effectively
o Latest thinking on teaching techniques and pedagogy
o Legal liabilities and responsibilities
o Formative and summative assessment
o Understanding and applying current educational theory (e.g. cognitive load theory)
o Applying current neuroscience principles in tuition contexts
The content has been produced by a range of experts from across The Tutors’ Association, with substantial contributions from experts within the Get My Grades team, including cognitive psychology academics, SEND experts, experienced tutors and current/former teachers with tens of thousands of hours of relevant experience between them. The CPD platform will be continuously updated and developed over time.
The CPD platform is easy to use, making use of Get My Grades’ intuitive user interface and will help TTA members to become better tutors and/or tuition business owners.
The Tutors’ Association’s aim is to provide all tutors, whether new to the profession or seasoned practitioners, with the opportunity to stay up to date within the ever-changing educational environment, and enable them to adapt quickly and effectively to it.
The addition of CPD modules to TTA’s member offering is a further part of its long-standing commitment to professionalising the tutoring sector, and to helping TTA members distinguish themselves as the best of the best in the tutoring community. The technology enables TTA to run courses and administer robust assessments to help tutors identify their skills and strengths. It’s a great step along the road of professionalising the tuition sector.
